I was born in Thessaloniki in 1971. I completed my basic education at the 1st Lyceum of Thessaloniki and graduated with a grade of “excellent”. I was admitted to the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated with the grade of “very good”.

After completing my military service, I started my training in Otolaryngology in Great Britain, where I specialized at the following hospitals:

• Royal Sussex County
• Hospital - Brighton, Milton Keynes General Hospital και Royal Wolverhampton
• Hospital - Birmingham

I continued my postgraduate education as a Scientific Associate (Fellow) in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia Richmond, USA

I also completed further training and specialized in otology and ear surgery at two major British University Hospitals:

• Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge και Institute of Laryngology and Otology
• UCL, London

In 2000 I received the Diploma of Laryngology and Otology (Royal College of Surgeons of England).

In 2005 I was awarded the title of Doctor of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with distinction (PhD).

Professional experience

• Fellow in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia, Richmond, USA
• Scientific associate at the Otolaryngology Clinic of the “G. Papanicolaou” Hospital
• Lecturer of Medical students at the 2nd Otolaryngology Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki “Papageorgiou” during the 2nd Spring semester of 2007
• Scientific associate at the Otolaryngology Clinic of the “Papageorgiou” Hospital

Teaching work

• Training of resident doctors at the “G. Papanikolaou” and “Papageorgiou” hospitals
• Trainer in various medical seminars (courses)
• Participation in a significant number of speeches at Greek and international conferences
• Training of medical students at the 2nd Otolaryngology Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki ‘’Papageorgiou’’ during the 2nd Spring semester 2007

I have significant scientific work with participation and personal announcements in Greek and international medical conferences - seminars. Many of my works have been published in Greek and international journals. I have also written and participated in the writing of medical books in Otolaryngology.
